Aquarius Pools of the Upstate

Build Your Favorite Place to Be.

A Pool Should Look Like It Was Always Meant to Be There

A great pool should feel like a natural part of your home.

It should fit the property, complement the surrounding space, and work for the way you want to use your backyard, whether that means swimming with the family, entertaining friends, relaxing after work, or spending more time outdoors.

That's why Aquarius Pools of the Upstate looks at the complete space rather than simply deciding where a pool will fit. We consider your home, backyard layout, pool features, outdoor living areas, equipment, and how everything will work together before bringing the project to life.

With more than 29 years of experience, we know the details that make the difference between simply having a pool and having a backyard you genuinely enjoy.

Why choose Aquarius Pools

A Better Pool Starts With the Right Pool Builder

Building a pool is a major investment in your home. You deserve a builder who gives you options, communicates clearly, and has the experience to turn a design into a backyard you'll enjoy for years.

Experience You Can See in the Details

Choosing the right pool company matters whether you're building from scratch or making improvements to a pool you already own.

29 Years of Construction Behind It

Kevin brings over 29 years of construction project management, including work with a premier Upstate gunite builder. Grading, drainage, retaining walls and underground utilities — the four things that decide how a pool project goes.

Owner Involvement

Kevin Ward is on site most every day of your build. Not a rotating crew lead, not a coordinator who has never seen your backyard — the person who can make a decision, standing where the decision needs making.

New Pools & Existing Pools

We're here for more than new construction. We also provide remodeling, vinyl liner replacement, equipment services, and outdoor living improvements.

Complete Backyard Approach

Pools, decking, lighting, equipment, outdoor kitchens, covered areas, and other features can be considered together to create a more cohesive finished space.

A travertine supplier, a great brickie to install the stone, a pool liner specialist, a firm that digs and removed tons of material, electricians, pool equipment plumbing - a complex dance that yielded a happy customer. Heartily recommend Aquarius Pools of the Upstate."

"On the coldest day of 2022 I woke up to find my pool half empty. No one that I usually worked with was available. Aquarius Pools was recommended to me and they were here in 30 minutes. They fixed the busted pipe and taught me how to avoid another freeze that night. They were concerned and genuine. Thank you!"



"Amazing!! Can’t recommend highly enough. Quickly returned phone call and came out next day to look at Intellichlor system which we thought might need replacement. This system is new to us and they gave us an education and fixed the problem. The owners, Kevin and Kevin were gracious and so helpful! They will be our “go to” pool guys going forward!"



"Aquarius Pools replaced our liner and we are very happy we chose them! Kevin was very responsive throughout the entire process, answering all if my questions in a very timely manner. They went above and beyond to make sure our pool was working properly, the liner was replaced correctly, and did it all ahead of schedule. Their workmanship is top notch and I would use them again for any pool needs!"



"Excellent customer service and our pool looks great! We got quotes from several companies but ultimately decided to go with Aquarius, even though they were not the cheapest, because they were the most professional from the get-go! Kevin and Kevin both sat down with me and explained the quote and the process. Communication has been super easy and that they have been back to check on my pool several times and make sure that we are happy!"



"Kevin was great to work with. Excellent communication and fair pricing. Great quality work! We have used several pool companies in past years, but we will be sticking with this company from now on!"

What services does Aquarius Pools of the Upstate provide?

Aquarius Pools of the Upstate provides custom pool construction, pool remodeling and renovation, outdoor living projects, vinyl liner replacement, and pool equipment repair, replacement, and installation throughout Upstate South Carolina.

Do you build concrete and vinyl pools?

Both. Gunite is the choice when you want a fully custom shape, a beach entry, a vanishing edge or a raised spa. Vinyl liner goes in faster and costs less up front, and still takes tanning ledges, benches, steps and spas. We will tell you honestly which suits your property. We do not install fiberglass shells.

Do you work on pools you didn't build?

Yes. Most of our renovation, repair and service work is on pools built by other companies.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We work with Lyon Financial, which specializes in pool lending. You apply directly with them and we handle the build.

How much does a custom pool cost?

The cost of a custom pool depends on the size and design of the pool, site conditions, access, selected finishes, equipment, decking, features, and the overall scope of the backyard project. After discussing your property and ideas, we can provide a clearer understanding of what your project will involve.

Pool financing

Build the Pool You Want. Pay for It Your Way.

A pool is a significant investment, and financing it over time makes it achievable for a lot of families who would otherwise put it off. We work with Lyon Financial, which specializes in swimming pool and home-improvement lending and has been doing it for decades. You apply directly with Lyon; they handle the approval, and we get on with building your pool.
